Trust is at the core of every relationship Leslie develops with her students: trust
in her coaching, trust in the process, trust in themselves. Voiceover is offcamera acting, and as such, training for the profession will take time. And work. And commitment.
Coaching sessions are targeted to each student's needs, level, and abilities. New students often ask how many sessions it will take until they're "ready." There is no easy answer. It may take ten sessions…or ten years. Every journey is different.
Leslie's commitment to her students extends well beyond vocal coaching. Her
knowledge of and connections to the business side of the voiceover world have
proven invaluable to her students, and they rely heavily on her guidance as they navigate through a complex, ever-changing industry.
Arguably as important as the demo itself are the branding and marketing behind it. Leslie draws from her industry experience and personal observations to help advance her students' promotional efforts and, as needed or requested, directs them to the right marketing and advertising professionals. She is always looking out for her students' best interests, from recommending certain acting classes to helping several of them find agents.
Well-known and respected in the industry as both a coach and a talent, Leslie
enjoys relationships with many local and regional studios and talent agencies.
Through these connections, she can often provide opportunities for her students and non-represented talent to audition and land paid voiceover gigs – even before they have demo!
